The short version
Brimkit is a native Mac app. Your images stay on your machine except when you press generate, at which point the frames needed for that shoot are processed by BRIMLOCK, our generation system, and returned to you. This site sets no analytics cookies and loads nothing from third parties.
1. What the app processes
- Your images. Reference and product photographs are stored locally in the app's sandboxed container. When you generate, the images needed for that shoot are transmitted over TLS to BRIMLOCK, which may execute on managed third-party compute, and are used only to produce your frames.
- Faces in references. Before a look reference leaves your Mac, regions detected as faces are irreversibly pixelated. Brimkit does not perform face recognition; no biometric identifier is computed, compared or stored.
- Your account. Sign-in, plan and shoot usage are kept so your allowance works; session credentials live in the macOS Keychain on your device.
2. What we collect
- The app: no telemetry and no analytics. It records only what your allowance needs: who you are and how many shoots you have run.
- The website: no cookies, no analytics scripts, no third-party fonts. Your theme preference is kept in your own browser's local storage.
- Purchases: checkout is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details under its own privacy policy; we receive your name, email and subscription status so we can provide the service and support.
- Email: if you write to us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
3. Your rights
Email us to access, correct or delete anything we hold about you (which is, at most, your purchase record and our correspondence). Deleting the app deletes its local data; your images never left your Mac unless you generated with them.
